Credit Manager

In this role You will:

  • Ensure Support Fuel business specifically focused on Customer Credit, Cash Collection teams
  • Responsible for managing the Credit Risk exposure for business to support delivery of business goals through the optimisation of the balance between credit risk and reward and applying good business judgement in the decisions made.
  • Contribute to managing debt effectively including collection and exposure management.
  • Manage credit activities for the relevant countries supported by the team to ensure trade debtor balances are tightly controlled and credit risk appraisal of new and existing customers is compliant to the Downstream Credit Policy
  • To approve credit limits within DOA and raise those above DOA for approval including presenting and provided reasoned recommendations to senior Management
  • Accountable for building capability and supporting change within the team in the drive for an operational excellence, professional business partnering & compliance
  • Support via active involvement any operational tasks performed by the teams
  • Coach and develop members of the team from the technical and soft skills point of view and coordinate team activities
  • Be the centre of expertise for all fuel business Credit Management issues in the regions they supervise and build strong relationships with the business teams.
  • Accountable for controlling and monitoring all credit analysis and cash activities providing accurate and timely reporting of management information
  • Ensure business partnering and GBS ownership in what GBS is accountable for
  • Review compliance to the Downstream Credit Policy of all active customers, having a valid credit review in place, an assigned BP risk rating/ CL/ payment terms in the system
  • Liaise with Sales, Legal, Credit Collection teams and Cash collection companies
  • Review and approve Credit Assessments, bad debt provision and write offs within DOA
  • Ensure Monthly and Quarterly reporting activities are performed in an accurate manner within the assigned deadlines (i.e.: quarterly aggregation ELL on country/regional level)

What You will need to be successful:

  • Deep Finance or Credit analysis experience
  • Strong Credit Management background gained in banking, financial services, or a blue-chip corporate credit environment
  • University Degree or equivalent experience (in Economics or related fields)
  • 3+ years of Customer Relationship management, Accounts Receivable, Cash Collection or Credit Management experience in an international environment
  • People Management experience
