PC&C Solutions is an internal technology organisation within bp’s wider Technology entity. It is responsible for running, innovating & delivering digital solutions for bp globally. PC&C Solutions are digital experts, dedicated to delivering the best customer experience at the right cost for bp.
The purpose of the Technical Portfolio Lead is to drive the most technical parts of our work while working on key strategic items. Ranging from networking & DNS trouble shooting through to vulnerability mgmt. The role works with product owners to ensure we meet enterprise standards. Tracking and measuring the products we have. The role works with the leaders in each space and helps them manage the portfolio of products sits in their space. The Technical Portfolio Lead will build strong partnerships across Technology – to apply their technical expertise and ensure product stability and compliance
What you will do:
Strategic
- Manage the reporting of product and project delivery at the portfolio level including progress reporting and risks & issues reporting
- Manage portfolio-level documentation like portfolio architectures and portfolio roadmaps
- Manage portfolio wide campaigns and initiatives e.g. building AI capability, innovation hackathons
- Support VP in managing portfolio budget, benefit realisation and ROI of portfolio
Technical
- Serve as the technical advisor for product teams, offering guidance on infrastructure, security, and cloud operations.
- Provide hands-on support and strategic recommendations in the following areas:
- Networking & DNS: Troubleshoot and optimize DNS configurations, including Azure Front Door and VPC endpoints.
- Certificate & Key Management: Manage SSL/TLS certificates, cryptographic keys, and secure token exchange using Azure Key Vault and AWS KMS.
- Encryption & Secure Storage: Implement and advise on encryption-at-rest and in-transit strategies across cloud services.
- Email Gateways: Support secure email gateway configurations and encryption certificate management.
- Single-Signon Technologies: Setting up secure connections between bp and 3rd party systems
- Cloud Patching & Vulnerability Management: Coordinate patching cycles and vulnerability remediation across Azure and AWS environments, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Document technical processes and provide mentorship to team members on emerging technologies and secure practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud security, or enterprise IT operations.
- Expertise in Azure or AWS cloud services, particularly in networking, key management, and security.
- Strong understanding of enterprise DNS, encryption standards, and secure messaging protocols.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and patching strategies in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of supporting cross-functional teams.
