Let me tell you about the role
We are seeking a thorough and proactive a PU Supply Network Inventory Planner to manage the inventory policies and strategies for our Performance Units (PUs). This role ensures the overall inventory strategy adopted by supply planners for the PU is correct and appropriate - driving appropriate stock segmentation, safety stock refreshing and monitoring, managing stock coverage to avoid excess, and managing a PU inventory efficiency improvement roadmap.
Through our Global Planning Digital tool, Kinaxis Maestro, PU Supply Network Replenishment Inventory Advisors will own the overall inventory strategy for the PU, across Finished Goods and Raw Materials, working very closely with replenishment, production and raw material planners to ensure parameters and strategies are updated and actively followed.
The Supply Network Replenishment Inventory Planner will own slow moving and excess (SLOBs) processes, to diagnose and root cause reasons for failure stock appearing and own plans to drive correction at source. This position requires proven supply planning experience, combining strong analytical skills within our digital planning tool (Kinaxis Maestro) with having the ability to foster positive relationships with supply chain planning colleagues both in Pune and in the markets
What you will deliver
Inventory Replenishment Strategy
• Develop and own the Inventory strategy and replenishment policies for the PU, bringing the Global Planning Playbook to life for the PU
• Ensure strategies are written, agreed and driven for updating finished good segmentation, working with PU S&OP and Planning Delivery Leads to sign off and with PU supply planners to implement within Kinaxis Maestro
• Manage safety stock strategy – ensure this is carried out to global requirements with assessment of impacts and approval from necessary planning and market customers
• Own and ensure appropriate inventory planning data is updated in line with global planning governance requirements (lead times, service levels, replenishment parameters)
Inefficient Stock / SLOBs management
• Own analysis of SLOBs and high coverage inventory, to identify root cause areas
• Own the process to work with supply replenishment planners, production planners, demand planners and others to identify sell-off options as well as address root cause areas
• Work with Finance to cost to address appropriate provisioning
• Own and drive the PU inventory efficiency roadmap to drive to target days of cover (DOC)
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with PU Supply Planning Delivery lead, Production Planning, and Raw Material Planning teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives.
• Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by working closely with PU S&OP Manager, providing insights around inventory projection against inventory roadmap and SLOBs progress and actions required
Systems & Reporting
• Apply our end-to-end planning tool, Kinaxis Maestro to carry out inventory modelling updating safety stocks, using Scenario functionality to look at “what if” options to review inventory strategy impacts to optimise inventory levels
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including Days of cover, stock turn rates, and SLOBs % of total finished goods
• Drive process improvements to enable inventory efficiency and responsiveness
What you will need to be successful
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (master’s preferred).
Experience:
8-12 years in supply planning, replenishment, or inventory management within FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience in Supply Planning and Inventory Management using an advanced digital Planning tool, desirably Kinaxis Maestro
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software (Kinaxis Maestro highly desirable) and ERP systems (SAP ECC, S4 Hana, JDE)
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively stakeholders in supply chain in both India and other countries
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Shift Timings : 5.30 PM To 2.30 AM (US Shift)
