This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, using technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. This is an exciting time to join bp and the customers & products BTC!

Shift Timing : 14:30 PM IST – 23:30 PM IST (need to be flexible as per daylight saving)


About the role :

Support Engineering team with implementing project controls systems and processes. Conduct analysis and provide project related reporting to enable project managers to assess the progress of projects in both execution and financial performance. Implement & lead all aspects of purchasing transactions and receipts on behalf of project managers and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery and billing. Provides procurement support for capital projects and assist engineering team to make sure that projects are completed on time & within budget

Responsibilities :

Support the engineering team with the execution of the Capital Project financial tracking, budgeting, reporting for all project managers.

Assist project teams to develop project cost and schedule work breakdown structure, code of accounts and ensure proper interface with site accounting and project controls functions.

Support the engineering department in the development of the annual Capex plan, revised forecasts and associated outlooks.

Assist project managers in creating purchase requisitions and manage the appropriate approvals required.

Monitor project budgets for accurate commitment & spending.

Support project cost and schedule closeout activities and capitalization.

Maintain and track the change management system across the project, ensuring consistent application and rigor.

Liaise with multiple departments for smooth & effective issuance of Purchase orders, vendor setups, and resolve any issues with payment.

Manage the approval process for all Capital projects and coordinate the project setup upon sanction of funding.

Partner with and support Procurement, Project Managers and plant resources in equipment tender processes to support execution.

Responsible for creation, change, and maintenance of contractor & engineering vendor master database.

Job Requirement & Qualification :

Bachelor's Degree (preferably Engineering or Finance) or minimum 5 years relevant experience.

Knowledge of schedule control, cost control and estimating principles, stage gate project execution processes, front-end loading concepts, project development.

Knowledge with a stage gate project process and ways of execution

Demonstrated ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical ability as well as awareness to be self-directed.

Well-developed skills in problem solving & communications.

Experience working with an ERP system, JDE or SAP desirable

Strong Excel skills required and Power BI experience desirable

Experience in processing requisitions, procurement, knowledge of milestone payments, terms & conditions, ability to review proposals and ensure all terms and conditions are met.

Experience with East and SE-Asia/ANZ working environment.

Report to BTC Engineering team leader

Support Project controls and performance lead

Work with Performance Units and Local Engineering resources to support projects
