Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Insights Senior SME to drive performance and decision-making through advanced analytics. This role will be crucial in translating sophisticated data into actionable insights for various business units within BP.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of sophisticated analysis and modelling techniques to identify key business drivers and opportunities.
• Apply sophisticated analytics methodologies to interpret complex datasets, providing clear and concise recommendations to partners.
• Apply strong Commercial Foresight to understand business needs and translate them into solutions, focusing on performance management.
• Develop and implement performance management frameworks, including the establishment of key performance indicators (targets) and regular reporting.
• Build compelling and informative data visualization and interpretation to communicate complex analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct in-depth Financial Analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability assessments, to support strategic financial planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate planning processes and ensure alignment between business objectives and analytical outputs.
• Perform comprehensive Investment appraisal, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment, to support capital allocation decisions.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, demonstrating strong Communication and influencing skills.

Job Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior analytical or business insights role, demonstrating expertise in analysis and modelling.
• Strong background in Analytics, with a deep understanding of various analytical techniques and tools.
• Outstanding Commercial Foresight and experience in Commercial performance management within a large organization.
• Excellent Interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate sophisticated information clearly and concisely.
• Showed strength in data visualization and interpretation tools and techniques.
• Expertise in Financial Analysis, including experience with modeling and forecasting.
• Experience with Integrated Planning processes and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Investment appraisal principles and practices.
• Proven ability to establish and manage Performance management frameworks.
• Bachelor's or equivalent experience or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related subject area.
