Let me tell you about the role

We are seeking a thorough and proactive a Supply Network Production Planner to optimize production planning across our Performance Unit (PU) manufacturing sites. This role ensures efficient capacity utilization, balanced production schedules, and alignment between supply and demand to meet service, cost, and inventory targets.

Through our Global Planning Digital tool, Kinaxis Maestro, PU Supply Network Production Planners will own the production plan of finished goods in our manufacturing assets or 3rd party procured locations for a given portfolio of products.

The Supply Network Production Planners will supervise Capacity: Demand (C:D) ratio, to ensure medium to long term production capacity is available, and be a key person to facilitate resolving constraints in production capacity, working with plant schedulers, PU Supply Planning Delivery Managers in the markets, and the PU S&OP manager, to ensure that production capacity is modelled for PU S&OP process through Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP)

This position requires proven supply planning experience, combining strong analytical skills within our digital planning tool (Kinaxis Maestro) with having the ability to develop positive relationships with supply chain planning colleagues both in Pune and in the markets

What you will deliver

Production Planning

  • Develop and manage production plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets.

  • Conduct Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) to identify constraints and support monthly supply reviews.

  • Collaborate with delivery leads and MPS planners to resolve bottlenecks and optimize schedules.

  • Maintain accurate planning data (batch sizes, capacity, cycle times, calendars) in line with global governance.

Inventory & Capacity Management

  • Align production plans with inventory policies to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence through tracking and creating plans to maintain a healthy Capacity: Demand ratio

  • Monitor and propose adjustment to production strategies to respond to changes in market demand and supply disruptions, working with and aligning to PU S&OP and Supply Planning Delivery Leads

  • Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure material availability and production feasibility for both ongoing products as well as new product introductions!

Collaboration & Customer Engagement

  • Work closely with PU Supply Planning Delivery lead, MPS planners, Procurement and plant teams to align production replenishment strategies with business objectives (eg Make to order, make to stock)

  • Support the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by working closely with PU S&OE Planning Delivery Leads, and PU S&OP Manager, providing insights and recommendations to resolve supply constraints and deliver improved availability balanced against cost and inventory!

Systems & Reporting

  • Use Kinaxis Maestro to run RCCP scenarios and analyze “what-if” options.

  • Track key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and availability.

  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives to enhance agility and inventory optimization.

What you will need to be successful

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (master’s preferred).

Experience

8-12 years in supply planning, replenishment, or inventory management within FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing industries.

Skills Competencies

Proven experience in Supply Planning and Inventory Management using an advanced digital Planning tool, desirably Kinaxis Maestro

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software (Kinaxis Maestro highly desirable) and ERP systems (SAP ECC, S4 Hana, JDE)

Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively customers in supply chain in both India and other countries

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Working Hours

Shift Timing: 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST (US Shift)

Supply chain planning team for your Performance Unit, co-located in PU, and with PU Planning & S&OP managers and S&OE delivery leads in the PU
