Let me tell you about the role

We are seeking a thorough and proactive a PU Raw Material Planner to be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely supply of raw materials to support production and business needs. They play a critical role in supply chain management, collaborating with MRP planners, suppliers, production teams, PU Supply Planning delivery and Procurement teams to provide raw material forecasts, track raw material inventory levels, minimize disruptions, and enhance operational efficiency.

Through our Global Planning Digital tool, Kinaxis Maestro, PU Raw Material Planning Advisors will own the medium to long term plan of raw materials for our manufacturing assets and some 3rd party locations to share forecasts with our key Suppliers, and also project risks and availability for the Supply Review in our S&OP Process

This position requires proven supply planning raw material planning experience, combining strong analytical skills within our digital planning tool (Kinaxis Maestro) with having the ability to foster positive relationships with supply chain planning colleagues both in Pune and in the markets

What you will deliver

Raw Material Planning

  • Develop and manage raw material plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets.

  • Collaborate with Procurement to share forecasts with suppliers and communicate monthly variances.

  • Support new product introductions and tenders by scenario planning and ensuring raw material readiness.

  • Identify and assess supplier constraints and risks to inform monthly Supply Reviews.

  • Partner with MRP planners and delivery leads to resolve short-term disruptions and demand fluctuations.

  • Maintain accurate planning data (e.g., order quantities, lead times, calendars) in line with global governance.

Risk Management & Disruption Mitigation

  • Implement strategies to ensure continuous raw material supply and mitigate shortages.

  • Analyze demand and supply forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels.

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Planning teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve constraints.

  • Provide insights and reports on raw material availability and risk mitigation to senior stakeholders.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Align replenishment strategies with business objectives (e.g., make-to-order, make-to-stock).

  • Support S&OE and S&OP processes by providing actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Work closely with PU Planning Delivery Leads, Procurement, and Plant Teams to ensure alignment.

Systems & Reporting

  • Use Kinaxis Maestro to run forecasting scenarios and explore “what-if” options for availability and cost optimization.

  • Monitor key metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, supplier performance, and IFOT.

  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives to enhance agility and inventory optimization.

What you will need to be successful

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (master’s preferred).

Experience:

8-12 years in supply planning, replenishment, or inventory management within FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing industries.

Skill Competencies:

  • Proven experience in Supply Planning using an advanced digital Planning tool, desirably Kinaxis Maestro

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software (Kinaxis Maestro highly desirable) and ERP systems (SAP ECC, S4 Hana, JDE)

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively customers in supply chain in both India and other countries

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Shift Timings : 5.30 PM To 2.30 AM (US Shift)

You will work with

Supply chain planning team for your Performance Unit, co-located in Pune, and with PU Planning & S&OP managers and S&OE delivery leads in the PU and Procurement
