About the role:
The PSI Engineer RBI/IDMS will be the central focal point for the P&O production used IDMS system and RBI methodology and tooling. Together with the central RBI methodology specialist and the central IDMS specialist, the incumbent addresses technical support requests from the regions, provides training, assures tools and process are optimized, fit for purpose, and drives efficiencies and standardization.
The role is expected to support the P&O production regions and the TSI production delivery teams via proactive data driven analysis, continuous improvement of integrity processes, coaching and technical support and guidance for PSI engineers, corrosion and materials engineers on RBI excellence and applications, ever greening of our integrity strategies and embedding continuous improvement and learning into our RBI standard technical practices and assuring the tools and systems are updated accordingly.

The role requires close collaboration with several partners including regional and refining integrity management teams, the central digital organization and all the engineering fields working on integrity management for bp.
Support the self-verification processes in partnership with other central and site teams in support of long-term safe operation of the assets. You will support by reviewing the integrity data and providing technical analysis. Additionally, the Pressure Systems and Integrity Engineer will analyze global program metrics and measure the effectiveness and the impact of the global programs.
WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER
- Responsible for defining pressure systems integrity inspection data management procedures and guidelines, development, implementation, and standardization.
- Support global integrity data management programs implementation (e.g., Bentley IM) and collaborate with operating sites.
- Maintain and develop RBI methodology documents, i.e management system and technical Instructions consistent with industry standard processes and regulatory requirements.
- Implement RBI programs in commercially available inspection data management systems (IDMS).
- Verify RBI data quality and assumptions through quality audits. Supervise their sustained health and lead self-verification practices and critical metrics around it.
- Provide RBI software support for the P&O production system and fix potential issues.
- Support the inspection optimization and standardization activities, develop the optimization opportunities, work instructions and job aids as required and needed.
- Support self-verification processes and understand and provide interpretations and support conformance with applicable bp’s engineering technical practices and industry codes and laws.
- Support and fully engages with Integrity teams as required for scope development and risk evaluation through the IDMS.
- Lead IDMS tools maintenance, improvements pipeline and implementation, user experience enhancement, user training, data health checks and audits, performance management
- Champion a culture of data driven decisions, and efficiency on the use of data: data analytics, digital tools/ technologies and operationalize upgraded work practices through digital transformation
- Support performance management through implementation, measurement, and analysis of relevant KPI’s to drive continuous improvement
- Participate/perform mechanical integrity (MI) gap assessments and audits.
- Develop work processes/flow and conduct training.
- Participate in the RBI and IDMS user community to promote sharing of knowledge, experience and standard processes across P&O production.
- Work with bp technical teams to resolve defects and performance issues of MI systems and RBI tools.
- Provide consistent RBI performance management and insights to discipline leadership and asset leadership
- Assist with inspection information management
- Support the capability development in the pressure systems arena and support the development and delivery of IDMS and RBI training materials and coaching site and TSI users
- Support the PSI community to promote sharing of knowledge and experience, and application of best practices and standardization across the company
Formal education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
- 8+ years of experience in engineering pressure system integrity management
Desirable critera
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Inspection Data Management systems and its use, including the Bentley IM and TM modules
- Working knowledge of RBI Methodologies and its practical application.
- Equipment inspection experience
- Work experience with relevant inspection codes and standards to meet regulatory compliance
- Experience of working in an oil and gas processing plant or refinery plant.
- Proven record for improving the IDMS to achieve the business need in system effectiveness and efficiency.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo etc.) and their interfaces with IDMS.
- Proficient and experience with PowerBi
- Willingness to expand knowledge to other IDMS than Bentley APM e,g, GE APM
