This role requires a proactive approach to relationship management, a strong analytical approach, and the ability to coordinate across multiple functions to deliver maximum value to bp. The Commercial Analyst & BPX Interface Liaison will play a critical role in supporting business growth, driving process improvements, and ensuring operational excellence in all commercial activities related to onshore crude oil marketing and trading.

Address pricing and royalty inquiries, and lead coordination of interface-related activities across functions.
Maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) and oversee all BPX-related contracts to ensure compliance and continuity.
Assist in month-end and quarter-end close activities for both T&S and BPX, including monthly performance reporting against critical metrics, tracking crude oil prices for accounting, and establishing quarterly line fill volumes.
Manage daily exposure for select trading books in the Crude bench: morning position updates, reconciliations, intraday moves, end-of-day position explanations, and deal-level cost provisions.
Deliver effective validation of deal valuation on T0 and ensure timely communication of performance (Expo / P&L) via the FTS process.
Validation of exposure and daily pricing in line with chain/portfolio strategy and ensuring books are appropriately hedged (flat price, FX and MOCs) and in line with defined strategy.
Support trading teams to ensure all deals are marked accurately in line with MTM policy, including monitoring and clearing of failed valuations and uploading daily curves where necessary.
Collaborate with Trading, Operations, and Commodity Risk to ensure accurate reflection of deal valuation throughout the lifecycle of the deal. This includes operational and deal amends, blending/regrades, updating exposure modelled deals, etc.
Support continuous improvement to streamline and simplify processes.
Essential experience and job requirements
