We’re looking for a Partnership Manager to join this ambitious team to create partnerships that deliver differential impact. This role is ideal for a collaborative, strategic thinker with sharp commercial instinct.
About the Differential Partnership Team
The Differential Partnership Team was created to position bp as an industry leader in supplier collaboration. Our mission is to strengthen our global supply chain through targeted partnerships that deliver long-term, shared success. Together, we manage a growing pipeline of supplier partnerships that deliver top-line growth, innovation, cost reduction, and security of supply.
About the role: Partnership Manager
The Partnership Manager is responsible for accelerating the creation of supplier partnerships, focusing on Stages 2 – 4 of the Supplier Partnership Approach:
Define the business need Identify & assess potential partners Engage prospective partners Implement the partnership Further the relationship
In this role, you will work in lockstep with colleagues across procurement, the business, and supplier organizations to bring partnerships to life.
Key accountabilities
Accelerate partnership creation
- Identify and assess potential partners, aligned to the business need
- Foster transparent, trust-based relationships between internal participants and external partners
- Collaborate with suppliers, procurement teams, technical experts, and business collaborators to align on shared goals
- Develop offers and negotiate deal structures, commercial terms, and implementation roadmaps
- Serve as a key contact during implementation, ensuring smooth collaboration between procurement, legal, technical, and business teams
Steward the Partnership Playbook
- Champion use of the Partnership Playbook across the group
- Continuously improve the Partnership Playbook based on real-world experience and emerging guideline
- Support training and communication efforts to drive adoption of unique commercial models and a partnership perspective.
Qualifications
- Experience: Demonstrated ability in management consulting
- Education: Engineering degree or equivalent experience, Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Location: Houston, TX (no relocation offered)
