Job Description:

Our purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. For over 100 years, bp has focused on discovering, developing, and producing oil and gas in the nations where we operate. We are one of the few companies globally that can provide governments and customers with an integrated energy offering. Delivering our strategy sustainably is fundamental to achieving our ambition to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner.

Join our team as Senior Procurement Manager – Rotterdam Refinery!

As bp continues its transformation into an integrated energy company, the Senior Procurement Manager (SPM) at the Rotterdam Refinery will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and commercially valuable procurement support.

The SPM will be the single point of accountability for all site-based procurement activities. Embedded in the Site Leadership Team and connected to the global procurement strategy, this role will focus on translating business needs into sourcing and contracting solutions, while driving performance, compliance, and value creation.

You will lead a high-performing team, manage supplier performance across operations, maintenance, projects, and TARs, and represent Procurement at senior levels internally and externally. Success requires strong stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and the ability to apply commercial and analytical insight to support decision-making and deliver results.

Key requirements:

  • University degree in economics, law, or a comparable field

  • Strong expertise in procurement processes (category management, sourcing, purchase-to-pay)

  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience

  • Skilled negotiator and influencer in Dutch and English

  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with a focus on savings and value delivery

  • Ability to set priorities, lead change, and guide teams through complex environments

  • High social competence, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently

This is a unique opportunity to help shape Procurement at one of Europe’s most critical energy assets — combining global connection with local impact.

At bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and ambitious environment. We believe that our team is strengthened by diversity. We are committed to encouraging an inclusive environment in which everyone is respected and treated fairly.
