As a Petroleum Engineer (PE) graduate , you will be part of the Subsurface organization’s Global Subsurface Solutions (GSS) arm, which sits under the Production & Operations business group. Our vision is to become an industry-leading engine room of our integrated energy company; we will do this by putting safety first, reducing carbon emissions, improving efficiency, integrating across the value chain, and flexibly deploying talent to solve the most significant issues. At the heart of Subsurface lies our purpose of being a digitally enabled and agile team that can apply and nurture its subsurface skills to find, develop and manage a portfolio of high-value, carbon-efficient resources.
As a Petroleum engineer, you will be responsible for applying innovative digital and data science technologies to deliver system monitoring, optimization and capacity growth across the 4-chokes (Reservoir-Wells-Plant-Export) and developing well intervention requirements to maintain or improve the production of hydrocarbons and CO2 storage throughout the life of the field. Depending on your bp location and role, you will gain broad capability, primarily through job experiences, in:
•Reservoir and Well Performance: Participation in reservoir and well reviews; involvement in production forecasting, optimizing water, gas, and CO2 injection, or helping design Well intervention or surveillance programs.
•System Optimization: Create and maintain numerical models, data analysis, and data visualization tools to optimize the integrated production system, delivering safe, reliable, low-carbon operations and identifying opportunities to grow installed production capacity.
•Well Management: well performance tracking or well operations, real-time surveillance, and analyzing and developing data analytics solutions.
