Skills Performance Senior Advisor
In this role You will:
- Understand the strategic workforce and skill development context for your area of responsibility and how this connects to common priorities across bp to ensure solutions deliver maximum value
- Contribute to the creation of the prioritized skills to be ‘built’ plan for your area, including detailed needs analysis and impact evaluation strategy
- Create skill impact plans to articulate the ‘needle’ shifts needed to close skill gaps and expected performance outcomes
- Propose solutions for the design team and complete the business value and skills performance briefing documents to demonstrate solution value and impact and enable robust prioritization conversations
- Build strong working relationships to ensure solutions developed meet needs by creating an effective atmosphere for collaboration
- Enable access to solutions by creating and maintaining grow@bp plans, marketing learning and community building, advocating for grow@bp to drive adoption, usage, and business impact
- Engage the audience; collect, analyse, and interpret data on targets such as simplicity, usefulness, skill proficiency and application, confidence and behaviour change
- Measure ‘needle’ shifts and performance outcomes
- Use data insights and foresights to recommend changes to ensure performance outcomes are achieved and solutions are refined to increase impact and efficiency
What You will need to be successful:
- Experience in complex organizations with skills management, performance management or workforce planning in large matrix organization
- Experience advising, coaching, and influencing senior collaborators
- Proven ability to work well in cross functional and global teams to deliver excellent learning & skills solutions with a culture of continuous improvement
- Experience conducting skills gap analyses, developing tailored capability-building roadmaps and designing, implementing learning solutions with demonstrated increase in learner satisfaction and measurable skill improvement
- Ability to implement strategies that drive behavioural change, leading to an improvement in performance metrics tied to learning
- Demonstrated continual use of people, HR and learning analytics tools to track workforce capability trends, providing insights that influence L&D decisions with regular ongoing exposure to Degreed (grow@bp), Xyleme, Cornerstone (My Talent & Learning) and PowerBI dashboards
- Understanding of current trends in skills and learning, technology, and the role of AI in impactful learning solutions
- Established practices that enhance team psychological safety in global teams within L&D context
- Commitment to your own development and continual learning, championing knowledge-sharing initiatives beyond their own work portfolio
- Proficiency in English language
