Join our Team and advance your career as a Senior Product Designer
The Senior Product Designer within the Midstream Global Integrated Pricing team works in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary group of professionals, including product managers, software engineers, and data engineers. The role contributes to the development of core platforms that support bp’s digital applications globally. The designer’s input directly influences the usability, accessibility, and scalability of critical systems, ensuring intuitive user experiences that enable innovation and operational efficiency across the organization.
In this role You will:
Designing user-centric digital experiences across various interfaces, including web and mobile platforms.
This includes:
Conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design solutions.
Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with business and user needs.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency and feasibility.
Participating in product strategy discussions and contributing to the definition of user experience standards.
Ensuring accessibility and usability across all design outputs.
Supporting the end-to-end design process from concept through delivery, including iterative testing and refinement.
The role requires a balance of creativity, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement to deliver solutions that meet both user expectations and business objectives.
User Research & Analysis: Gather insights into user needs and behaviors to inform design decisions.
Wireframes & Prototypes: Rapidly create and iterate on product structure and flow.
Inclusive UX: Ensure accessibility (WCAG compliance) and inclusive design for all users.
UX Design: Apply UX principles to craft intuitive, user-centered experiences.
UI Design: Design visual elements aligned with brand guidelines.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with PMs and developers to align design with business goals.
Usability Testing: Validate designs through user feedback and iterative improvements.
Documentation & Guidelines: Maintain clear design documentation for consistency and transparency.
What You will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years in IT as a Product Designer or similar role
Strong UX/UI portfolio
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch
Solid grasp of UX/UI principles and accessibility standards
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork
Passion for user-first, accessible design
Desirable Criteria:
Hands-on experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Familiarity with Agile or other iterative design and development methodologies.
A commitment to accessibility, with knowledge of WCAG or other accessibility frameworks.
