Job Description:

Job Summary
As a Technology Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring they are in line with agreed standards and strategies. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs. Your role will involve evaluating existing systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending innovative technologies and approaches to enhance performance and efficiency. Additionally, you will provide expert guidance and support to project teams throughout the lifecycle of projects, from initiation to delivery and post-implementation evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system architecture, process flows, and user manuals.
• Ensure all solutions are designed with security and privacy controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the data being processed.
• Support the development and implementation of comprehensive monitoring and alerting tools to identify potential security incidents in real time.
• Work closely with developers and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and systems.
• Conduct regular reviews of current infrastructure and propose upgrades or improvements as necessary.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential value to the organization.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior leadership.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in information technology, preferably within an oil and gas industry setting.
• Proven track record of delivering impactful digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing large-scale technology projects involving multiple stakeholders and diverse teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, or Java.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to think creatively and outside the box to develop innovative solutions to challenges.
