About the programme

The three-year programme which comprises three 12-month rotations is designed to give you breadth of experience and the opportunity to build technical depth. You will be challenged in many ways – all of which will build your confidence, expertise, and experience at pace, giving you the flexibility to eventually take your career in the direction that suits you best.

Along with being part of the bp early careers community, you will have a dedicated support network to provide guidance on the programme, advice on career development and answer your questions, helping you to navigate the organization. Our world-class learning journey will incorporate online and virtual learning with face-to-face classroom and on-the-job training giving you the behavioural and technical skills you need to build a truly outstanding career.

Intern – HSE & carbon

The safety of our sites, the well-being of our people and our impact on the environment are fundamental to our business. Health, safety, environment, and carbon (HSE and carbon) cares for and protects our people and planet from harm. HSE and carbon covers all businesses throughout bp from offshore production facilities, to wind and solar farms, global networks of retail sites, and many other exciting ventures. Our ambition is to lead by example in partnering with everyone to deliver solutions that reduce risk and eliminate harm.

About you

As a bp graduate, you will have an interest and/or skill in delivering economic value back to a business, identifying solutions and strategies resulting in cost savings and a natural negotiation style. To be eligible to apply to the graduate positions, you are:

  • Have willingness to learn, passion to excel and deliver results
  • Be part of ethnicities of Papua or parent(s) originally from the land of Papua

  • Have recently graduated from Bachelors (S1) or Masters (S2) or Doctoral (S3) program or will be graduating by August/November 2026 with degree in related roles, such as environmental engineering, process safety, HSE/K3, sustainable management, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering

  • Applicants with less than 2 years professional working experience may also apply
  • Graduated students or fresh graduates may also apply

You will be based in our Jakarta office.
