Join our Budapest Team and advance your career as a Senior Export Team Leader!
In this role you will manage a team of Export Administrators focusing on primary and secondary export distribution, including order entry, availability check and allocation as well as delivery planning and scheduling with the warehouse, freight forwarders and preparation of the necessary export and billing documentation for the customers. You will supervise export deliveries from the main Europe hubs to various destinations within and outside of Europe, ensuring Castrol’s operations remain compliant with customs regulations, at the same time operating in the most cost effective way.
The Senior Export Team Leader is also the focal point for our 4PL and 3PL logistics partners, working together with them in improvements and holding them accountable for providing the most effective solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure adherence and compliance with the Code of Conduct, BP Policies and ISO standards across the team.
Ensure adherence and compliance to the relevant customs clearance regulations and related tax regulations.
Ensure adherence and compliance with ADR regulations (Dangerous Goods regulations).
Ensure adherence and compliance with Excise goods regulations and related taxation.
Lead and review operational performance for the team regularly against the defined objectives and plan corrective actions accordingly to ensure the timely delivery of Export services in accordance with the Service Level Agreements and relevant processes and policies.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key partners at different levels of the organisation, customers and external service providers to ensure related issues are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Manage key contractors and supplier relationships to deliver maximum value and impact for BP.
Support external/internal audits, identify and control risk and drive mitigation.
Run and analyse performance and management information reports, plan and implement corrective action.
Coach team members to address process gaps, identify inefficiencies and help to embed a continuous improvement culture in the organisation.
Identify training opportunities focused on building capability of the team. Help team members think of possible career options and support them in developing associated career development plans.
Perform FTE sizing, plan and assign work to team members, monitor adherence to workforce schedules and highlight gaps.
Regularly run analysis on Loss Funnel commitments around drop sizes and transport costs, ensure best transport options are picked, in line with our budgetary limits.
Manage and supervise operational activities of the team accordingly.
Essential Education, Experience and Job Requirements:
Educated to degree standard / equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Logistics / Supply Chain / Freight Forwarding (E2E understanding).
Deep functional expertise and experience in detailed supply chain and logistics processes & policies.
Comprehensive understanding of international trade processes, freight forwarding, Customs, ADR and Excise goods.
Highly analytical, numerate with a strong attention to detail.
Able to work well under sustained pressure with conflicting demands, optimizing resources and responding to fast changing circumstances.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a people leadership role ideally in a B2B environment.
Experience of working with a diverse team and stakeholders across different geographies.
Fluent English is essential. German/Dutch/French language would be advantageous.
Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of customers’ and business’ needs / behaviours.
Strong impact, interpersonal, influence and communication skills with proven capability and potential to make a significant contribution to the business
Strong people management skills that facilitate others to play to their strengths, proven experience in coaching and leading a team.
Highly motivated and ambitious to deliver value to end customers and business both operationally and financially.
Experience using SAP and/or Salesforce and MS Office application is an advantage.
