CONTEXT

JOB PURPOSE
To support the performance management agenda including gross margin, Total Cash Costs( TCC) and Advertising Sponsorship and Promotion( ASP).
The Performance lead will need to maintain a proactive business partnering relationship between finance and the embedded finance teams, the budget holders for both TCC and ASP, providing them with commercial support and market intelligence, and will build and maintain a ‘one team’ relationship with the ARC and FBT teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Partnering and Performance Insights
- Establish & maintain a proactive business partnering relationship between Finance and the local entity budget holders and embedded Finanace teams to ensure underlying performance is well understood, to proactively challenge and propose performance improvements, and to monitor & investigate anomalies & trends.
- Supports the Performance Management agenda for the entities in scope, ensuring robust & timely forecasts and deliver MI analysis and commentary for the leadership team.
- Partners with other business interested parties to provide detailed analysis of focus areas of performance, providing insights and interventions and associated analysis ensuring integrity & sufficient challenge.
- Support the PR&F Sr Manager in ensuring that the Group Forecast Outlook (GFO) and forecasting process is robust. Includes timely reporting of forecasts and associated analysis, such that forecasts fully reflect business risks. Handle subsequent queries from the Region PR&F team.
- Liaise with the Supply Chain team to ensure there is coordination of the GFO’s prepared for both the OU and Supply Chain such that there is understanding and connectivity between the two.
- Coordinate monthly closing and reporting processes, connected with Finance colleagues . Provide monthly and quarterly analyses as requested.
- Support the Finance Sr Manager, Controller & OU Manager to embed a performance management and continuous improvement culture within the OU to ensure focused and rigorous performance delivery, through the use of key performance indicators (critical metrics), tailored reports, and other techniques as deemed necessary.
- Work with the Marketing function supporting their reporting requirements, providing data consistent with the GFO / Plan / Actuals. Provide support in monitoring advertising expenditure vs. budget, and assist in ensuring all trade loans are properlbudget and and approved in accordance with Policy.
- Handle all ad-hoc data requests, both internal and external.
- Support the Controller as advised in the cash forecasting process to raise and sustain it at the required level of accuracy, and finding opportunities for Working Capital improvement.
Performance Reporting
- Translates financial and operational performance for the businesses and evaluates and articulates the underlying delivery of actuals vs. latest forecasts on a monthly basis to incorporate into the plan and current outlook for the year.
- Provides input of the recharge process for the entities, ensuring costs are recharged to countries fairly and accurately.
- Build up competencies to be able to act as a “center of expertise” on PR&F related issues and point of contact for all Regional and OU data requests.
- Support to maintain the financial integrity of SAP, FBW and SAPBPC software modules. This responsibility ensures that the financial data reported is accurate and that integrity exists among all modules and systems.
- Support the ARC teams, in completing Close activities.
- Support the drive for continuous improvement in MI to ensure integrity & accuracy and to meet advances in business requirements.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA/EXPERTISE
- Part qualified or qualified in a recognised national or international professional accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA.
- Absolute fluency in “business English” is mandatory.
- Able to analyse and summarise complex information and prepared to drive performance improvements together with the business.
- Ability to quickly assess areas requiring attention and/or intervention, with a strong demonstration of business partnering to drive business performance.
- Focuses effort and prioritises work to deliver business value; must be self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Looks for ways to do things better, faster and more efficiently.
- Builds networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge – a team player.
