Join our Ethics & Compliance Team and advance your career as a

Ethics & Compliance Liaison (Finance FBT)

In this role You will:

  • Partner with the broader ECL community to embed ethics and compliance practices into bp's daily business operations
  • Promote our code, 'Who we are’ and speak-up culture
  • Acting as the key business touchpoint for E&C enquiries, advice and assurance
  • Identify, assess and monitor all E&C risks, as well as support Counterparty Due Diligence, High-Risk Agents and Non-Operated Joint Venture management
  • Support the development and implementation of an E&C plan to manage the risks in their business entities
  • Clearly and consistently demonstrate your dedication to our code and values
  • Act as the “face of E&C” and the ‘go to’ expert for support on compliance matters
  • Act as a speak up channel and promote a healthy speak up culture
  • Be the single point of contact for E&C with respect to the Concerns management and investigations process
  • Provide functional assurance on E&C risks in the annual review of risk management reporting process in conjunction with E&C, legal and the business
  • Work with our communications partner, incorporate ethics and compliance into the business entities annual communications plan
  • Share guidelines and lessons learned with your entity/sub-entity as well as with the ECL community and the E&C function

What You will need to be successful:

  • Strong background and experience in Ethics & Compliance, Legal or Audit
  • Ability to access and influence senior leaders to discuss E&C activities and issues with the ability to provide practical solutions
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to challenge senior business leaders when needed
  • Ability to maintain a level of independence to speak up when there are risks to the company’s reputation or regulatory compliance
  • Competency leading and supervising development and application of E&C strategies, plans and programmes
  • Strong strategic skills and well-developed eye for business to think, act and influence in ways that support balanced E&C culture in the business
  • Strong risk management and mitigation capability
  • Ability to evaluate the impact of changes in the bp code of conduct, policies, regulations or standards on a businesses’ commercial, reputational and regulatory environment
  • Proficiency analyzing data and discerning trends and themes to develop activities to improve E&C culture across the businesses
  • Proficiency in English language
