Job Description:

As bp transitions to an integrated energy company, we must adapt to a changing world and maintain competitive performance. Bp's customers & products (C&P) business area is setting up a business and technology centre (BTC) in Pune, India. This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, demonstrating technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. Shift Timing: 11:00 am to 8:00pm IST

About the role:

The Strategic delivery Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of the integrated strategy in M&C Europe, as well as working in the implementation of strategic projects in the region. The role works within the Strategic delivery team, providing support to capital allocation, network planning, VCP monitoring and strategic project analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the progress of existing investment programs and growth projects and manages the accuracy of the investment pipeline

  • Shape and manage the Capex and Revex investment portfolio, advising on reallocations, alternative funding options, and optimisation opportunities across M&C Europe.

  • Works closely together with Finance & Performance teams as well as strategy managers to ensure consistency of data and financial project execution across Europe

  • Engage with colleagues across M&C Europe to support cross-market problem-solving and ensure consistent, high-quality analysis and delivery.

  • Create clear, thorough reports and presentations tailored to stakeholder needs, facilitating effective communication of findings and recommendations.

  • Champion continuous improvement and standardisation in investment and strategy processes, while aligning with bp’s Code of Conduct and ‘who we are’ beliefs.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum experience at least 5 years

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, economics, engineering, science, or other related fields

  • Strong understanding of capital expenditure (CapEx) investment principles, including categorisation frameworks and financial accounting practices.

  • Understanding of project and business financial metrics and ability to develop simple commercial models.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: demonstrated ability in gathering and analyzing complex data, managing uncertainty and risk, identifying key insights, and developing actionable recommendations.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software including Excel and PowerBI.

  • Demonstrated abilities in teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder management, collaborating with diverse teams, and participating in extracurricular activities that showcase leadership potential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: proficiency in synthesizing and presenting ideas clearly and effectively (written and verbal) to diverse audiences in English.

  • Proficient use of English both verbally and in writing!
