Job Description:

  • Execute commercial deals safely and compliantly work alongside the MPO team and Coastal Lead Operator.

  • Ensure all administrative activities for Coastal fuels are completed timely, accurately and compliantly to advise decisions, protect bp value and maintain product security.

  • Work alongside the MPO team and respective Lead Operator to implement a strategy to meet product supply security, including shipping, tankage, pipelines & terminals requirements, inventory management and end-to-end compliance of all movements related to Fuel along the coast

Job Requirements

  • Enter timely and accurate trade data into the system of record, Operations Workbench (OWB) and ISP. Accurately performing Distillates and Lights for movements in and out of Coastal region (Cape Town, East London, Mossel Bay, Port Elizabeth).

  • Understand commerciality of contractual agreements to ensure alignment of execution and end-to-end value creation.

  • Appoint Cargo Assurance and/or independent inspectors including optimising costs, demurrage, wharfage and inspector costs

  • Adhere to HSSE and bp policies.

  • Recognise and understand concepts of pre-finance and work with the Trade Finance to administer letters of credit, where appropriate.

  • Nominate oil movements and prepare all documentation instructions, including raising concerns of abnormal movement reconciliations

  • Support Coastal Lead Operator in complex operational scenarios, encouraging people to speak up when necessary, and sharing findings with the wider operations community for future learning.

  • Monitor OWB Dashboard and any daily reports such as Settlement, non-zero Out deal, Das and DWL and make prompt amendments as required.

  • File all essential documents in the relevant sharepoint sites

  • Work closely with the Demurrage Negotiator & Berth Operator to ensure deals are implemented per contract

Education

  • Tertiary qualification in supply chain or logistics or equivelent

Experience

2 – 3 years experience in a Supply or Logistics environment, preferably with exposure to Supply Operations

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven team player who displays proactiveness and assertiveness together with strong commercial acumen, negotiating and influencing skills

  • Ability to manage time well, work under pressure and quickly find solutions to operational problems

  • Ability to build and maintain networks both internally as well as in the industry

  • Ability to find innovative solutions to complex problems and think independently
