Role Synopsis
We're seeking an experienced Well Interventions Superintendent to lead field Interventions operations across our Eagle Ford asset. This role offers the opportunity to own and drive results in a dynamic, high-production environment. You will lead a team of 8-15 Well Site Leaders in a 14/14 rotation model, reporting to our Well Interventions Execution Manager. You'll be responsible for maximizing production through expert execution of intervention operations while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
Field Operations Leadership
- Manage all intervention operations, including workover rigs, cleanouts (coil and stick pipe), refrac preps, snubbing operations, and rigless work (wireline and pumping)
- Collaborate with engineers and field teams to minimize production deferment and optimize well performance
- Oversee WSLs, crews, contractors, and equipment across your assigned operations area
Safety & Operational Excellence
- Drive 100% compliance with company HSE policies and regulatory requirements
- Proactively identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to reduce non-productive time
- Ensure precise execution of SOPs and procedures across all activities
- Manage emergency response and incident reporting
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop Well Site Leaders, Tool Pushers, and crew supervisors
- Build and maintain high-performing contractor relationships
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational discipline
- Maintain adequate staffing levels and bench strength
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the key interface between field operations, engineering, and management
- Provide timely updates on operational progress and challenges
- Translate technical guidance into actionable field instructions
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and landowners
Essential Experience and Education
Experience Requirements:
- 15+ years in well interventions and workover operations
- 5+ years supervisory experience leading field teams
- Proven track record in production optimization and cost management
Technical Expertise:
- Expert knowledge of workover rig operations, cleanouts (coil and stick pipe), refrac preps
- Experience with snubbing units, slickline operations, hot oiling, and rigless interventions
- Strong background in artificial lift systems and production deferment management
- H2S environment experience preferred
Leadership Qualities:
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and drive results
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel
- Owner's mindset toward cost control and operational efficiency
Required Certifications:
- IADC Well Control Certification
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma/GED
How much do we pay (Base)? $192,000 - $226,000
Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
