Join our Budapest Team and advance your career as a Staff Delivery Manager

As a Staff Delivery Manager, you are a technology service expert supporting bp with the definition and operation of critical IT services. You apply both traditional IT practices and site/software reliability principles to ensure service performance and resilience.

You may be deployed across different business areas, bringing transferable skills to meet immediate needs and grow through diverse service exposure.

You manage service delivery from internal squads or external providers, ensuring alignment with SLOs, IT outcomes, and compliance standards. You work across DevOps and traditional service models, resolving delivery blockers and improving customer experience. Skilled in vendor management, you drive success in outsourced contracts and continuous service improvement.

In this role You will:

  • Promote safety and security across all digital operations.

  • Lead development, testing, and improvement of digital products and services.

  • Ensure operational integrity and compliance with architecture, security, and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with Digital teams to resolve complex incidents and advise on major projects.

  • Support safe adoption of new technologies, ensuring customer requirements and handling escalations.

  • Monitor tech trends, drive process improvements, and share best practices in service engineering.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

  • 8+ years in scaled Service Delivery roles, managing vendors and internal teams

  • Demonstrable Knowledge in the application of modern Service Delivery methods - Site Reliability Engineering to traditional ITIL, and understanding of Product Based delivery

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across complex environments

  • Experience delivering IT services on SAP, Salesforce, or similar cloud platforms

  • Familiarity with PaaS and SaaS service models

  • Proven IT project management and service transition experience

  • Understanding of finance processes (e.g., period close, reconciliation)

  • Ownership of product backlog and change accountability

  • Stakeholder engagement, governance leadership, and cost estimation support

  • Experience with SOX compliance and audit participation

  • Vendor relationship management and service transition alignment

  • Budget management and PMO-related activities

  • Strong incident management and service restoration capabilities

Desirable Skills:

  • Energy trading exposure

  • Power Platform, Power BI, Python

  • Azure DevOps familiarity

  • Vendor and managed service oversight

  • Agile IT project delivery

  • End-to-end collaboration on service design and implementation
