About the programme
The three-year programme which comprises three 12-month rotations is designed to give you breadth of experience and the opportunity to build technical depth. You will be challenged in many ways – all of which will build your confidence, expertise, and experience at pace, giving you the flexibility to eventually take your career in the direction that suits you best.
Along with being part of the bp early careers community, you will have a dedicated support network to provide guidance on the programme, advice on career development and answer your questions, helping you to navigate the organization. Our world-class learning journey will incorporate online and virtual learning with face-to-face classroom and on-the-job training giving you the behavioural and technical skills you need to build a truly outstanding career.
Vacant graduate positions
Graduate – civil engineer
Civil engineers harness the forces of nature to build and operate technology for the benefit of humanity. At bp, our civil and structural engineers design, build and manage the integrity of our offshore and onshore structures and infrastructure whether fixed or floating. Our facilities are spread globally and you will work on jobs that range from local scale to projects of international significance. These facilities are essential to the production and delivery of energy from its natural state to the market and into society. bp has growing interests in low carbon energy production, including; onshore and offshore wind, solar power and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Graduate – electrical engineer
Responsible for electrical power system analysis & study, site operational technical support, electrical equipment reliability & maintenance, brownfield modification project, tie-in & integration with the new facilities. The electrical systems involve power generation, transformer, switchgear, UPS, electric motors, lighting & small power system, electric heat tracing, variable speed drives and HVAC.

As a bp graduate, you will have an interest and/or skill in delivering economic value back to a business, identifying solutions and strategies resulting in cost savings and a natural negotiation style. To be eligible to apply to the graduate positions, you are:
• Have willingness to learn, passion to excel and deliver results
• Have recently graduated from Bachelors (S1) or Masters (S2) or Doctoral (S3) program or will be graduating by August/November 2026
• Applicants with less than 2 years professional working experience may also apply
• You should have completed your degree in one of the discipline/majors below:
Civil engineer: civil engineering
Electrical engineer: electrical engineering, power engineering, physics engineering, physics
