This role will be a member of the bp Supply, Trading & Shipping (ST&S) Technology application portfolio, delivering digital products to our business entities and more specifically responsible for fuel supply & midstream digital platforms, operations and digital transformation. Within Fuel Supply & Midstream business unit of ST&S,
The Delivery Manager plays a critical role translating strategy into actionable steps and driving successful delivery of products, platforms, and services. This hands-on role is focused on day-to-day decision-making and ensuring the right products, platforms and services are being built and delivered efficiently. This role makes key decisions on feature development, balances stakeholder priorities, and ensures that deliverables are built to meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements. They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs, enabling the seamless delivery of impactful solutions.
This role will be primarily involved in Midstream digitization initiatives, accountable for requirements analysis and management, determining the most appropriate means to represent business requirements in the context of technology features and capabilities for the product, platform functions and features and overall digital solution.
This role is in an exciting new area that is responsible for solving difficult customer problems by delivering critical products across bp’s refined products supply chain.
In this role You will:
Technology delivery management:
Lead project delivery involving the development and implementation of products and platforms to achieve desired business outcomes in the integration of supply and trading organizations across Europe
Engage with the wider Technology teams for Midstream and the wider ST&S organization
Ensure operational integrity, assuring operational compliance with architectural and security standards, as well as compliance and policy controls refined by Strategy, Digital Security or other relevant Regulatory, Legal and Compliance functions
Collaborate extensively with wider Digital technology teams to resolve complex incidents, requests, and problems, and will act as technical advisors on major digital projects
Data-driven decision-making:
Monitor live products, platform, or service's health and key performance characteristics to increase performance, ensure compliance, and optimize operation
Provide transparency across bp by showcasing work in progress, elevating metrics and seeking regular feedback from internal collaborators and users
Resource and vendor management:
Work collaboratively with internal teams, external suppliers, and technology partners to balance capacity and ensure efficient delivery without compromising quality
Financial management:
Assist principal delivery manager with annual budget planning, allocation, and tracking to ensure alignment with business objectives
Monitor financial performance, control costs, and provide accurate reporting to support decision-making and optimize resource utilization across project or platform or services you are accountable for.
What You will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or higher) in relevant field or formal certification in fields of computer science / information technology / science or Mathematics
Fluency in English
6+ years in delivery management
Experience in supply and midstream specifically in demand forecasting and management, supply operations and logistics, supply optimization
Strong grasp of SDLC and Agile practices
Skilled in product operations and metrics
Sharp business problem-solving mindset
