About the Supply, Trading, and Shipping Graduate Program:
Early careers who join the Supply, Trading & Shipping early careers program will follow one of these tracks: trading, analytics, operations, and marketing and origination. Please apply to one track at a time. Early careers will follow a structured development offer to accelerate the acquisition of foundational technical skills, experience, knowledge, and application in the business world. The program supports transition from university to discipline professional and provides a framework of ‘non-technical’ skills to support building personal effectiveness skills.

About the Origination Track within Supply, Trading, and Shipping:

Supply, Trading & Shipping (ST&S) is bp's face to the traded markets in oil, natural gas, power, chemicals, renewables and finance. ST&S's role is to improve bp value through distinctive supply, commodity trading, risk management and technology skills. This is underpinned by outstanding analytics, finance, control and compliance infrastructure. ST&S has a dynamic and highly skilled workforce, which builds value by combining analysis and commercial innovation with the material asset base of bp.

Every year, bp invests billions of dollars searching for new sources of energy, supplying our customers with the energy they need. Help to ensure we make the best use of our investment. We want candidates to be developed and highly skilled to propose new and creative ways to maximize value. There are many commercial teams responsible for building and maintaining key relationships, developing unique commodity solutions to address bp’s and our customers’ business needs creating additional value for our trading business. Our rotations include origination, structured products, and trading operations.

Areas of exposure can include, but are not limited to:

  • Market fundamentals, physical operations, finance and risk

  • Ad hoc initiatives, problem solving and/or projects

  • Deal structuring and analysis

  • High Pressure to generate revenue while staying within compliance and regulatory guidelines

  • Execution facilitation

Minimum Requirements:

  • Working toward Bachelor’s degree

  • Graduating between December 2025 and May 2026

  • Current Cumulative GPA Minimum 3.4

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (bp will not support U.S. Immigration sponsorship for full-time or long-term employment)

  • Must be available to start on agreed upon global program start dates (January 20, 2026 or July 13, 2026).
