Join our Team and advance your career as a
Credit Collection SME
Overseeing all European operational activities, supervising control points and acting as the first point of escalation for Lead Credit Control Analysts within the team to guarantee trade debtor balances are tightly controlled and compliant to the Downstream Credit Policy.
In this role You will:
- Responsible to review all operational activities within the team and to maintain a silent business run.
- Supervising effective cash collection and monitoring of all portfolios, consistent with BP’s credit policies.
- Ownership of technical accountabilities within the team, maintaining reporting tools and leading system enhancements.
- Special focus on risk management, supporting the delivery of Working Capital improvements in line with Business targets based on close collaboration with Risk Assessment and Credit Intervention teams in identifying and anticipating to potential risks.
- Close cooperation with the European Credit Manager, supporting with accurate inputs from Collection activities.
- Leading the team on daily operations and acting as first point of contact for Lead Credit Control Analyst escalations concerning operational challenges.
- Supervise customer disputes from Credit side to ensure timely resolution of issues and cash against invoices.
- Manage Team’s regular Key Performance Indicators, automation and standardization of credit processes within Europe.
- Key accountability for the reporting activities, such as preparing and sharing monthly Key Performance Indicator and other operational reports on team level.
- Oversee preparation of documents and adjustments for monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts; identify and initiate ”quick wins” whenever those are relevant.
- Review customers on credit block and assist Finance team in the decision making process.
- Support Line Manager in all projects and initiatives such as systems implementations, efficiency targets and any ad hoc activities needed.
- Compliance with all relevant Credit Management and QMS related policies.
What You will need to be successful:
- Previous Credit / Cash Collection or SME experience of 2+ years
- Financial / accounting experience of 2+ years
- People management / supervisory experience is an advantage
- Any kind of College Degree or Economics
- Fluency in English, other European languages could be an advantage
- Thorough understanding of operations, showcasing an expertise in E2E activities.
- Able to deal with complex situations while maintaining the right balance of customer and business focus.
