Role Synopsis
Operations & Advisory (O&A) is an internal global shared services and technology solutions organisation within People & Culture. It is responsible for innovating & delivering HR services and solutions for bp globally, from a number of Business & Technology Centres and local delivery teams. O&A is the first point of contact for HR related matters; the team are policy, process and digital guides, dedicated to delivering the best customer experience.
The role is a part of the Excellence and Experience Team who focus on Payroll & Time workstream. The team owns, develops and implements solutions and deployments for P&C that support the business strategies.
The Payroll & Time Experience & Excellence Lead will support the delivery of service excellence strategy and roadmap for Payroll & Time services. This includes developing and supervising global performance metrics and customer feedback to improve service quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency. This role will be expected to collaborate with all the global operation subject area leaders, excellence & experience leads, solutions owners, or COE to ensure O&A is operate in safe, control and compliance across operations, tools, and projects delivery.
Role Purpose
Lead and implement the service excellence strategy for Payroll & Time, improving service quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead and implement a service excellence strategy for Payroll & Time
- Implement and supervise continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
- Handle capacity reporting and resource planning
- Develop and implement service skills and technical capabilities for the team
- Bring standardization in ways of working across the globe
- Build community of practice within the global payroll teams for change management, work through recurring issues, product and process changes
- Participate in UAT for system related changes, gather feedback to improvise the product features
- Ensuring that all testing activities are duly completed, documented and communicated ensuring there are no production defects
- Apply agile practices and principles to maximise business value and continuously improve the delivery of the right customer outcomes
- Support the deployment of the payroll and time solutions for the new country/entities thereby providing vital governance, risk management and delivery assurance to relevant partners
Change Management
- Support changes in Operations and Advisory by handling change process with collaborators – internal & external
- Help with input / support on case for change proposals
- Drive culture of continuous improvement towards operational excellence
- Support change management activity by working closely with the change management team and the payroll operations team
- Handle risks ensuring continuous operations including BCP
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Payroll Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant field.

Experience and Job Requirements
- Required 7+ years of Global payroll experience UK and US payroll knowledge is an added advantage
- Exposure to payroll and time systems like SAP (ADP Global View) and Workday systems will be beneficial
- Excellent critical thinking, reasoning and analytical skills, possess an inquiring, problem solving mind-set with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and execution skills to influence HR and business leaders towards common solutions(standardization) while maintaining the outside-in approach (customer first)

Technical:
- Significant experience in data processes and data analysis in a global shared services environment
- Exceptional business process and IT systems expertise related to HR
- Highly numerate / strong analytical skills required.
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
