Job Description:

Role Synopsis

As a Process Engineer Intern, you will support the gas plant’s process engineering team in daily operations, technical studies, and improvement projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to gas processing facilities, offering the opportunity to apply engineering fundamentals, learn industry standards, and develop problem-solving skills in a real operational environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in monitoring plant performance and analyzing process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support troubleshooting of process upsets and operational challenges under supervision.
  • Participate in process safety activities such as hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety reviews.
  • Assist in both updating and preparing process documentation such as operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and engineering reports.
  • Support process improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Shadow process engineers during plant walkdowns, inspections, and technical discussions.
  • Learn and apply relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ASME) and company engineering practices.

Essential Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Omani national.
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0.
  • Open for 2023, 2024, 2025 graduates.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic understanding of process engineering principles and tools.

Desirable Criteria

  • Interest in process optimization and energy efficiency.
  • Experience with simulation software or data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
