As bp transitions to an integrated energy company, we must adapt to a changing world and maintain competitive performance. bp’s customers & products (C&P) business area is setting up a Business And Technology Centre (BTC) in Pune, India. This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, demonstrating technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. The Program Project Controller plays a vital role in delivering timely and insightful commercial and financial analytics to drive the growth of the EV business across Europe. The focus is on supporting informed investment decisions related to real estate and EV infrastructure development.

Shift pattern: 12:30 PM- 9:30 PM IST

Key outcomes and Accountabilities

  • Deliver quality, timely investment support through location assessment, economic modelling, business cases, and functional assurance per bp standards

  • Support annual strategic planning and EV real estate growth across Europe and wider regions

  • Identify insights to improve asset infrastructure and financial performance, driving customer growth

  • Collaborate with finance to translate strategy into annual business plans; track real estate growth pipeline

  • Assess EV business development opportunities proactively across Europe

  • Provide competitive landscape analysis to identify market trends and changes

  • Serve as analytical expert on investment decisions, economic evaluation, assumptions, and financials of EV business

  • Coordinate Investment Committees and maintain IC tracker tool

  • Participate in squads supporting projects: network, portfolio, convenience, and fleet

  • Support Network analysts in countries with guidance on key projects and programs

  • Act as a knowledge resource within the European real estate team for best practices and problem solving.

Essential Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial analytical experience, ideally in retail markets or real estate

  • Solid understanding of business infrastructure and network development

  • Advanced financial modeling and data analysis skills with strong data interpretation ability

  • Experience supervising data-driven projects

  • Fluent in English

  • Proficient with database management tools

  • Ability to quickly grasp business context and manage workloads across time zones and under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills across country and central teams within C&P

Desirable:

Collaborative, performance-driven team player with strong networking skills across FM&S

Experience in the energy sector and renewables

Education:

University degree in economics, finance, or a related field
