This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, demonstrating technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. About the role :

Do you want to be part of the digital transformation in bp ?

This role will ensure that bp’s Customers & Products (C&P) business follows global Digital Privacy & Security’s global data standards and you will help our markets to proactively handle their Data Privacy risk.

In this role, you will be supporting our global community of C&P Data Privacy Managers with the ownership of strategic Data Privacy products and solutions handled out of the Central Data Office (CDO). Knowledge of global Data Privacy regulations, Risk Management, and Product Ownership will be relevant for this role.

You will drive how privacy can exist with marketing and advertising technology. Will be responsible for ensuring the CDO's Data Privacy strategy is coordinated with our local Mobility & Convenience (M&C) Markets. You will collaborate with diverse customers, working with Data Privacy Managers, Digital Security, Legal and business teams to lead privacy by compose culture.

Will be an accomplished Data Privacy Professional who understands how to handle risks and support the delivery of a global framework to build customer trust in bp.

Act as the main point of business ownership for C&P’s strategic solutions to handle Data Privacy risk, including Consent Management, Data Subject Rights and Cookies.

Roles & Responsibilities !

• Act as a senior source of expertise for data privacy, providing specialist advice to collaborators on their projects, helping to identify areas of risk and adequate controls.

• Work alongside bp’s Central Data Privacy Office and Central Data Office to conduct risk reviews, helping to update and handle C&P’s log of strategic data privacy risks.

• Work closely with business units to identify areas which may be open to data privacy risk and work cross functionally to implement solutions.

• Continuously develop both privacy/legal knowledge and digital capabilities, run training sessions and influence key partners as a go-to contact point for questions on privacy.

• Act as accountable Data Privacy Manager for business units which do not have a dedicated DPM and require support to complete activities such as Data Mapping and Privacy Impact Assessments.

• Collaborate with the C&P Marketing Hub, asking as the first point of contact for Data Privacy queries and concerns, working with C&P Data Privacy Managers to develop Data Privacy Solutions.

• Collaborate with C&P Privacy Managers and the Central Data Office to develop future-proofed global solutions to help better lead Data Privacy risk within local markets.

Qualification & Experience :

• A strong understanding of the principles of Data Privacy and Product Ownership.

• Understanding and awareness of domestic and global privacy laws, regulations, and standards including experience and understanding of digital technologies used to handle data privacy risk.

• Passionate about promoting customer trust and visibility in the use of digital products and services.

• Understanding of Ad-Tech / Mar-Tech ecosystem, frameworks, tools and solutions.

• Experience in handling and responding to data protection rights requests (SARs) and complaints.

• Experience of communicating with partners at all levels. A willingness to deal with problems or new tasks together with a consistent record of bringing business partners onside.

• 12 - 15 years of Data Privacy and / or Risk Management experience

This role is based within the C&P Central Data Office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Data Privacy function, working alongside partners across the Business, Legal, Ethics & Compliance and Technology.

You will have the opportunity to learn how Data Privacy is handled within different jurisdictions, improve your existing Data Privacy knowledge, whilst also helping teams with varied strengths handle strategic data initiatives.
