Currently we are looking for a Data Operations Team Leader to join our Digital Solutions & Transformation team in Szeged.

The Digital Solutions & Transformation (DS&T) Team sits within FBT as the custodians of bp’s commercial and financial data across the Finance, Procurement and Customer Functions. We strive to own, unify and safeguard bp’s data related processes overall.

The Data Operations Team Lead role is dedicated to streamline Master Data operations with high standard planning, resilient process improvements and team/people leadership in line with the DS&T strategy and global process design standards. The role is key in providing subject matter expertise in data management while leading an agile process driven operations team. The objective of the role is to enhance the overall customer/vendor experience by providing best in class data operations services.

In this role you will work with agents and analysts across multiple data management scopes in close cooperation with various internal stakeholders across FBT and the direct business. The role reports to the regional manager of the respective data fields for Europe/USA & SA.

Key Accountabilities:

- Functional:

  • Support the Manager in providing efficient leadership and coaching to the team, focusing on data operations delivery for a variety of related scopes.

  • Drive the DS&T Data Ops. strategy implementation with clear communication to the team and its stakeholders.

  • Plan, lead and orchestrate the daily activities of the responsible team by building a robust backup structure, detailed, dynamic FTE sizing with thorough consideration of all impacting factors.

  • Secure data driven operations with clear KPIs and necessary dashboards.

  • Develop expertise in Master Data processes across all scopes to define continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Implement the quality assurance framework for operative standards.

  • Ensures seamless process delivery securing mitigation plans for unexpected disruptions.

  • Provide adherence to International Trade Regulations (ITR) and Anti-Corruption and Bribery (ACB) requirements, highlight, and raise any potential irregularities.

  • Represent the E2E Master Data scope in projects and workshops with a proactive solution minded approach.

- Leadership:

  • Build a data driven team; develop, monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators aligned to the Service Level Agreements.

  • Resolve outstanding master data enquiries or issues. Ensure expertise and learnings are shared across team members.

  • Develop a safe team environment that supports continuous improvements & promotes bp values and encourages individual growth.

  • Proactively identify performance gaps, set goals and clarify expectations, provide regular feedback and conduct appraisals.

  • Support DS&T strategy and management decisions by providing process expertise, data & analytics and process gaps.

  • Propose, and implement continuous improvement opportunities incorporating best practices.

  • Collaborate extensively with all DS&T Master Data teams, maintains outstanding relationships with stakeholders on all levels across the organisation both internally and externally.

Essential Experience & Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working in a Master Data environment.

  • Team Leadership experience and proven track record in building, leading and growing a team of 5-20.

  • High degree of Master Data process knowledge and its servicing tools.

  • Aviation and Marine business understanding is highly beneficial.

  • Fluency in English is essential.

  • Project management experience.

  • High level proficiency in Microsoft packages, SAP or other ERP tools.

  • Excellent written/oral communication skills with ability to build effective working relationships.

  • High level of influencing, negotiations and ownership skills.

  • Strong performance management skills with experience of managing both quantitative and qualitative targets

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Resilient to working in fast phased ever changing environment with outstanding prioritisation vision.
