Job Description:

The Reliability Program Engineer supports the implementation of the Reliability Program at the Whiting Refinery. They interface with the asset teams, site leadership, and frontline Operations and Maintenance to deliver reliability initiatives. This position is a program and small project delivery focused role on the Reliability Engineering Team. This role functions as a program owner for applicable reliability initiatives and provides central support to asset Reliability Engineers. The Reliability Program Engineer will work with stakeholders to implement reliability initiatives and will develop work processes as needed to support these initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of Whiting reliability improvement initiatives and BIP related activities such as routine maintenance QC and Equipment Strategy gap closure.
  • Document a routine maintenance QC work process and support maintenance through implementation. Gather best practices and interface with maintenance supervisors and QC personnel to embed the program.
  • Develop longer term SV program to assess routine maintenance QC health once embedded.
  • Provide regular updates on program implementation to site Reliability Steering team.
  • Provide central support for asset Reliability Engineers in the implementation of Reliability Common Practice.
  • Support Asset Teams in development of multi-year recommendation implementation plans.
  • Support Asset Teams in TAR scoping health.
  • Facilitate Vulnerability Studies and complex RCAs if support outside an Asset Team is necessary.
  • Contribute to reviews of Capital portfolio and MMX program scoping for reliability focus.
  • Support Asset Teams in evaluation of Equipment Strategies.
  • Provide field facing frontline engagement with maintenance and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
