Automation Test Engineer

In this role You will:

  • Support Credit Risk DevOps Manager and Technical leads in designing and execution test scenarios and where possible identify areas for automation to support delivery of operations and Project work items
  • Carry out automation testing using Java and Selenium
  • Process data for the test scenarios using SQL
  • Work with geographically diverse delivery groups (BA’s QA’s and Developers) and support teams to deliver solutions effectively and efficiently, following the change management procedures for smooth and timely delivery of solutions
  • Work and contribute as part of team within agile methodology with collaborative approach to sharing ideas and maintain/participate the Kanban board, daily scrums, and retrospective meetings
  • Identify common issues across business groups and help design a standardized solution for all
  • Proactively identify risks, suggest fixes for defects and support timely resolution of critical production issues
  • Define and document standard run books and operating procedures

What You will need to be successful:

  • Experience of Automation Testing with Java and Selenium
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to validate data integrity across systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to agree on expectations across Product Managers, developers, and QA collaborators
  • Understanding of BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow or similar platforms
  • Self-motivated and accountable individual contributor who proactively drives quality initiatives
  • Strong programming skills to develop, maintain, and optimize automated test suites across multiple frameworks
  • Experienced in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), translating business requirements into test scenarios and coordinating across roles
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Practical background in building user interfaces for sophisticated web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular is an advantage, but not required
  • Familiarity with file-based storage and processing platforms, particularly Azure Databricks or similar technologies is an advantage, but not required
