Some of the wonderful things you’ll experience as a bp intern are:
Project based roles for 12 to 16 weeks
Typically for students between their penultimate and final year in program

Competitive pay
We pay interns and co-ops a set non-negotiable monthly rate based on your degree major, degree level and year of graduation. For this role, monthly salaries range from $3,896- $6,375 per month.

About the Supply, Trading, & Shipping Internship Program:
The summer internship program within BP's Supply, Trading & Shipping organization provides an exceptional introduction to a dynamic global business! During the 12-week internship, our interns work on individual and group projects with direct impact to our bottom line. Each intern is placed on a team and encouraged to be part of their success. BP emphasizes intern growth and development through learning and networking opportunities throughout the summer. Our interns learn from some of the most hardworking professionals within Analytics, Marketing & Origination, Operations and Trading. As an intern, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment that is supportive of learning and building new skills.
Interns will receive support from both their managers and mentors during the program. As employees in a company with global operations, our interns interact with a variety of people, understand a global business, and add distinctive value to our group through project work. Successful interns may be considered for a full-time role within our Supply, Trading, and Shipping program upon earning their degree.
About the Operations Team within Supply, Trading, & Shipping:
The Operations team supports the physical trading business and is responsible for delivering crude and refined products to our customers, storage terminals and refineries while building and maintaining key relationships both internally and externally. Interns will build a solid understanding of our business while interacting with several key areas including Analytics, Trading, Supply, Finance & Risk, Credit, Legal and bp Shipping. The internship will be a combination of on-the-job experience and projects.
The areas of exposure can include, but are not limited to:
Executing physical movements
Understanding multiple modes of transport
Communicating across internal and external parties
Supporting the delivery of technical enhancements to our processes and systems
Supporting ad hoc initiatives, problem solving and/or projects
Minimum Requirements for the Supply, Trading, & Shipping- Operations internship:
Working toward Bachelor’s degree. We are open to all majors.
Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
Current Cumulative GPA Minimum 3.0
Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (bp will not support U.S. Immigration sponsorship for full-time or long-term employment)
Must be available to start 12-week internship on May 18, 2026 or June 15, 2026 (will be required to pass all background and medical checks at least one week prior to start date)
