BP has seen significant expansion in India, with businesses in the areas of gas resources, retail fuels, lubes and an ambition to participate and grow in the low carbon energy businesses. We have also established a Global shared service / skill center in Pune for finance, procurement, digital initiatives. There is an increased focus on India being on the center of bp’s global strategy.

Looking to the future, India remains a key energy consumer and dominates the global energy demand growth driven by the large population, GDP growth and industrialization. As the footprints expands, key commercial development skills are key. The expectation from the candidates is to understand bp’s businesses and strategy through rotation across various businesses and acquire knowledge of bp’s economic evaluation methods, to support business leads in making informed decisions.

About you

The potential candidate will have opportunity to closely understand business drivers in various businesses

– upstream gas exploration and production, retail fuels, other low carbon and new businesses – a sharp learning curve.

The candidate will report to the Business Advisor (Chief of Staff) to President bp India and SVP bp Group, giving the individual an excellent visibility. During the rotation, the individual will closely work with businesses with a more frequent connect with the business.

The role requires acumen to performing structured detailed economic evaluations and an attitude to learn develop skills in strategic thinking, entrepreneurial idea generation and willingness to support a variety ad hoc project
