Supply Accounting Analyst

In this role You will:

  • Ensure timely and accurate hydrocarbon accounting processes
  • Support and prepare documents for period close
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Work with the S&IA teams to ensure mutual understanding of all accounting entries and follow up on queries.
  • Work on complex or difficult accounting areas requiring extensive experience to ensure the correct reporting and accounting treatment.
  • Resolve queries and issues as they arise with reference to relevant resources such as the Group Reporting Manual, working with the Rhine and S&IA teams or other support from within bp.
  • Align with any other job-related requirements. This may be defined by an attached task list or defined by one’s relevant team lead or process lead.
  • Provide effective support to system transformations in all phases of the project
  • Manage market pricing and benchmarking activities and perform Stock volume report for internally usage of defined BP countries
  • Be responsible for preparation of various external reports for all terminals - focusing on the defined area and manage federal statistics and customs declarations
  • Manage inventory movements and related actualization, reconciliation, logistics activities including month-end closing, rebranding, transfers, gain/loss, etc.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Relevant degree and 2 to 3- year experience in related Finance area
  • Good knowledge in Finance area (or willingness to learn the basics)
  • AR/AP Process experience desirable (MM knowledge is an advantage)
  • Fluency in English. Additional German/Spanish/Portuguese/French language is necessary.
  • Strong level of administrative skills
  • Strong level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
  • Customer- and service-oriented thinking,
  • Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication and cooperation skills
