Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of new electrical systems for mobile robotics from concept through rapid prototyping to serial production.

• Support the conceptualization and evolution of new applications and systems tailored to project needs.

• Select appropriate components and integrate them into complex mechatronic systems.

• Collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless system integration and performance.

• Create and maintain electrical wiring diagrams in compliance with industry standards using WSCAD or similar Electrical CAD tools.

• Conduct electrical investigations, including electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), grounding, and system-level behavior.

• Set up and execute measurements, including wiring and test setups in the lab.

• Actively contribute to the entire development process with a hands-on approach in prototyping and testing.

• Participate in ongoing training to foster innovation and continuous skill development.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.

• Strong system-level understanding of complex mechatronic products and the interaction between mechanics, electronics, and software.

• Proficiency in WSCAD or other Electrical CAD software.

• Solid background in electrical machines, converters/inverters, and electromagnetic compatibility; experience in power electronics is a plus.

• Experience in measurement and control engineering, including component selection and system integration.

• Knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, and PLCs.

• Hands-on technical skills for lab-based development and prototyping.

• Goal-oriented and efficient, with the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical project outcomes.

• Hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for practical engineering work.

Working Hours, Place of Work & Salary:

• Full-time position (38.5h/week - core hours 10:00-14:00)

All-In contract

• Flexible working hours with core hours.

• After the trial month, home office is possible.

• Location: HighTechCampus Vienna - 1100.

• Permanent employment contract possible.

• Competitive compensation and bonus package.

• Minimum gross salary in line with the current collective agreement "Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte des Metallgewerbes". Overpayment, reflecting market rates and based on your experience and qualifications, is offered.
