Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Define and drive the technology vision and strategy aligned with Baubot’s company goals.
- Lead the R&D department, encompassing software, mechatronics, program management, and innovation.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
2. Product Development and Roadmap:
- Align product development roadmap, tech stack, and vision with business objectives.
- Oversee development, testing, and deployment of Baubot’s products/systems/services to ensure high quality and performance.
- Implement new technologies to enhance product capabilities and maintain competitiveness.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals and customer needs.
- Serve as the primary contact for technology-related matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and industry experts.
4. Team Development and Management:
- Lead by example with a strong drive and hands-on approach.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to foster team members' professional growth.
5. Innovation and Research:
- Identify emerging trends and technologies in the construction, robotics, and automation industries.
- Drive innovation initiatives to explore new opportunities and improve products.
- Ensure Baubot remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
6. Process Improvement and Efficiency:
- Develop and implement processes and best practices for efficient technology operations.
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Experience and Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in a technology leadership role, preferably in construction, robotics, or automation.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and implementing new technologies to achieve company/business goals.
2. Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development, mechatronics, and program management.
- Experience with product development and technology roadmaps.
- Knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies.
3. Leadership and Management:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Ability to plan, guide and oversee projects, enabling adherence to (tight) deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on mentality.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
5. Education:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.

Working Hours, Place of Work & Salary:
- Full-time position (38.5h/week).
- After trial month, one day of home office per week is possible.
- Location: HighTechCampus (HTC) Vienna - 1100.
- Permanent employment contract possible.
- Competitive compensation and bonus package.
- Minimum gross salary in line with the current collective agreement "Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte des Metallgewerbes". Overpayment, reflecting market rates and based on your experience and qualifications, is offered.
